Metropolitan Grill didn’t get the nickname “The Cheers of Fine Dining” by accident. As the premier fine dining restaurant in Springfield, Metro has over twenty-five years of local, regional, and national awards and recognition from sources like Wine Spectator and Feast Magazine.

About Our Menu


Our menu changes three to four times a year. Executive Chef Pat works with local growers and a world-wide market to find the freshest and finest ingredients available in order to create a new set of memorable dishes for the season. Metropolitan Grill is currently on its fifty second menu since Chef Pat purchased the establishment in 2005.  

If you have an old favorite you don't see on the menu, please ask us. If we have the ingredients, we're happy to make it.

SUMMERTIME SNAKE RIVER WAGYU SPECIALS


Meewes Beef Spiedini -   Marinated Wagyu Beef Tenderloin Tips tossed in Bread Crumbs and Grilled topped with a roasted Garlic and Tomato Coulis with Portabello Mushrooms.


 

 

SURF AND TURF


Molina - Grilled & seasoned Beef Tenderloin Filet, topped with a Cilantro and Citrus Béarnaise Crab Cake, on a Spicy Garlic sauce plate. Served on a Smoked Salmon, Prosciutto Rigatoni supreme.


 

 

CATTLE, FISH, FOUL, SWINE, AND WOOL


Jennifer Lamb– New Zealand Lamb Rack, braised in a Black Cherry & Roasted Herb Ruby Port Wine, served with a Carrot, Mint and Golden Currant sauce.

Caroline -  Spinach, Artichoke Hearts, Bacon and Buffalo Mozzarella on Angel hair tossed with a Sweet Basil Buerre Blanc topped with shaved Asiago and Toasted Ravioli.

The electric fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere, perfect for personal celebrations or holiday parties. Legacy is also popular for business meetings and can accommodate a variety of seating arrangements.

Lotus is decorated with an entire wall of corks and copper accents throughout. This room is ideal for corporate meetings with a projector and large screen available for presentations.

ABOUT

The “Cheers” of Fine Dining


We are Jedi Knights of everything culinary and cool, offering an eclectic mix of world cuisines and taking great pride in our from-scratch cooking.

 

Executive chef and owner Pat Duran grew up in Santa Fe, New Mexico with eleven brothers and sisters. The kitchen was an exciting place full of love and magic. Pat would hang out with his mom for hours, watching her make art with whatever ingredients she had on-hand. Her creativity and passion for cooking is what first prompted Pat to pursue the culinary arts. He got his start as a Paratrooper in the military, traveling all over the world. When he returned, he completed his formal chef training.

As a classically trained chef, Pat has cooked for independent restaurants in places like San Francisco, Sacramento, and Traverse City.  Pat has also worked for large corporations, like Sara Lee, researching and developing.
It was love for family and a desire for Mom’s cooking that brought him back to the Ozarks. In 2005, he purchased the Metropolitan Grill, then a traditional Sicilian Italian restaurant. Incorporating his travels, his respect for traditional cuisine, and his passion for creativity and invention, Pat turned the Metropolitan Grill into the vibrant and well-loved mainstay of southwest Missouri it is today.
